The problem
Marathon had two decades of manufacturing credibility, a 47-state footprint, and 4,575+ completed spray booth installations — but their website didn't reflect any of it. Industrial buyers searching for custom spray booths, powder coating systems, or compliance-documented finishing environments couldn't find product specs, compare system types, or self-qualify without picking up the phone. Competitors with less experience were winning on first impression because their websites did the selling Marathon's team had to do manually.
Our approach
- Full audit of 19 product lines across industrial, automotive, powder coating, woodworking, outdoor-rated, and specialty applications
- Built a hierarchical product catalog with per-system specification pages, application use cases, and compliance documentation references
- Created 11 industry-specific landing pages (aerospace, automotive, truck & equipment, woodworking, powder coating, hydrogen service, rail, battery testing, hazardous location, RV & marine, industrial manufacturing)
- Designed and built a structured RFQ (Request-a-Quote) system with project scoping fields: work piece type, production volume, facility dimensions, compliance requirements, and preferred timeline
- Built a case study portfolio of real installations organized by industry and state, providing social proof for each product category
- Compliance and certifications page documenting NFPA 33, NFPA 86, ETL-listed panels, UL-listed components, OSHA, and EPA standards — with downloadable documentation for permitting
What we delivered
- Full product catalog: 19 booth and system types with per-page specs
- 11 industry vertical landing pages with SEO targeting
- RFQ system with conditional scoping fields for complex industrial specs
- Compliance & certifications page with documentation download
- Installation case study portfolio: sortable by industry and state
- Free resources section: buyer's guides, compliance checklists, maintenance docs
The outcome
Industrial buyers across 47 states can now browse the full product line, self-qualify by application type and compliance requirement, and submit detailed RFQs without a single phone call. The site now reads as what Marathon actually is — a 20-year manufacturer with the documentation, the process, and the track record to back it up.
“Our website finally reflects who we actually are. Industrial buyers now arrive knowing exactly what they need and ready to spec a project.”
