    FAQPage Schema

    Short definition

FAQPage schema is structured data that marks a page's questions and answers so search engines can display them as expandable rich results.

    In depth

FAQPage schema is one of the highest-leverage schema types for service businesses. It tells engines which copy is a question and which is the canonical answer. While Google has narrowed when FAQ rich results display in classic SERPs, the schema is heavily used by AI engines (Perplexity, ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews) when assembling answers. Build FAQ sections on every commercially important page and centralize them in a /faq hub for additional discoverability.

    Example

An agency adds 5–10 FAQs to every service page with FAQPage schema. AI Overview citations across the site triple in 90 days.
