    Direct Answer

Show up in ChatGPT by allowing GPTBot in robots.txt, publishing direct-answer content (40–60 word answers under question H1s), shipping llms.txt and llms-full.txt, getting cited by other authoritative sites, and publishing original statistics or quotes that ChatGPT can attribute back to your URL.

Allow GPTBot in robots.txt, publish direct-answer pages, ship an llms.txt file, and earn citations from other sites.

    1. Allow GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, and ChatGPT-User in robots.txt.
    2. Publish a maintained llms.txt with your top 20 priority pages.
    3. Add FAQPage and QAPage schema with first-person Q&A blocks.
    4. Open every answer with a 40–60 word direct paragraph (the 'snippet').
    5. Get cited by 5+ third-party sources per priority page so ChatGPT trusts you as primary.

ChatGPT's web search tool draws from the live web; ChatGPT's training cutoff varies but its browse mode reflects current sources.

Test progress weekly with the same prompts. If a brand mention or citation appears, log the engine, prompt, and date for trend tracking.
